Iceland just declared bankruptcy and Romania is the second poorest in Europe, with a very large and destitute Gypsy / Roma minority.

Iceland declared bankruptcy in 2008, before the crisis got bad for everyone else. And they used it as a way to unload their debt. Iceland’s economy is now doing very well. This is an option not available to greece etx because they don’t have their own currency. 

The word “just” was misplaced, indeed. Haven’t looked at stats, but last time I’ve heard about Iceland, they wanted to adopt the Lonnie, whether Canada wanted it or not :)
